Pre-Apartheid Era Laws: Industrial Conciliation Act No 11 of 1924

Definition:

The Industrial Conciliation Act No 11 of 1924 (commenced 8 April 1924)created job reservation for Whites in South Africa. Black South Africans are excluded from membership of registered trade unions, thus prohibiting registration of black trade unions.

Repealed by the Industrial Conciliation Act No 36 of 1937.
