Government Sets Terms for Bushmen's Return

Despite the High Court in Botswana ruling that the eviction of Bushmen from the Central Kalahari Game Reserve was as unlawful and unconstitutional, the government has issued terms for their return that seem to contradict the ruling. These include limiting the number of people who can return to those who participated in the court case and their families, that no domestic animals may be taken into the park, and that any person wanting to hunt will need to apply for a permit. The court had ruled that the Bushmen had the right to live on the land they'd been evicted from and to hunt and gather on it.
