Hippos Added to Endangered List

Another sad day in African history... hippos have been added to the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources's Red List of Threatened Species. The reason: "over the past 10 years there has been seven to 20 percent decline in hippo populations... Although the causes of the population decline are known (exploitation and habitat loss), the threats have not ceased, nor is there evidence the threats will be removed in the near future."

I AM VERY DISTRAUGHT AT THE FACT THERE ARE ALL THESE ANIMALS ON THE ENDANGERED LIST IT SADEN SME TO KNOW THAT PEOPLE ARENT REALLY TAKING ANY CONCERN IN THIS.I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO HELP IN ANY WAY.
