South African Charlize Theron wins Oscar for Best Actress 2004

South Africans are celebrating the country's first Oscar – Charlize Theron's Oscar for Best Actress for her role in the movie Monster. Accepting the award, Theron said: "This has been such an incredible year. I can't believe this. I'm going to thank everyone in South Africa, my home country. I'm bringing this home next week. I'd also like to thank my Mom – you have sacrificed so much for me to be here."
