South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) Telescopes at Sutherland, South Africa
Telescopes have been used at Sutherland by the South African Astronomical Observatory since 1972 and include the Radcliffe telescope which was moved from Pretoria to the site in 1974. The Radcliffe was the largest telescope in the southern hemisphere when it was completed in 1951.
