This photo was taken from the side of the valley across the shallow Boontjies River from Bushmans Kloof lodge. It shows how it is laid out admist lush green lawns (thanks to a good water source).
The brightly lit building on the left is the open-air dining area called Makana (which means "to feast"). In front of this is a natural pond and a rim pool (the ducks seem to enjoy both!). The circular structure towards the front is an open-air braai (BBQ) area.
In the center is the Manor House (which has the check-in area, luxury rooms, and suites), with the reception building and Trading Post shop behind it. The core of the Manor House is the restored original farm house, build in 1843. The buildings towards the right are guest rooms.
