The residence of the Mendoub of Tangiers, who was ejected from Morocco by Franco's Spanish forces yesterday, is handed over to the German consul.

The 11th African Division, part of General Alan Cunningham's force moving up from Kenya, has completed a 17 day dash along the Italian built Strada Imperiale from Mogadishu, in Italian Somaliland, to Jijiga, Abyssinia.

Farouk, the last king of Egypt, dies at the age of 45.
