Definition:

The Paris Club (Club de Paris) are an informal groups of financiers drawn from 19 countries, including the US, Japan, Britain, Germany, France, Russia, and Australia. They provide financial services, such as debt restructuring, debt relief, and debt cancellation to indebted countries around the world (often at the recommendation of the International Monetary Fund). The group, which grew out of crisis talks in Paris in 1956 over the economic situation in Argentina, meets at the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry in Paris.
