Africa Focus: Sights and Sounds of a Continent is part of University of Wisconsin's On-line Digital Collections. Of particular interest to Africanist scholars are the image galleries of 'Building and Structures' and 'African Landscapes', but there are also sound clips of African music and traditional greetings.

The digital collection includes "more than 3000 slides, 500 photographs, 50 hours of sounds from forty-five different countries, as well as a large number of difficult to find texts that librarians, scholars, and other subject specialists have deemed important to these fields of study."

According to the copyright information on the collection the material "may be freely used for non-profit educational and research purposes." Take a look at Africa Focus: Sights and Sounds of a Continent.
