Of all the pharaohs of Ancient Egypt, Tutankhamun is the most famous. This is due to the unprecedented wealth of artefacts found in his tomb, which was "discovered" by British archaeologist Howard Carter, in 1922, some 3000 years after Tutankhamun's death. The quantity of objects astounded archaeologists who had until then not found a tomb still containing treasures. Find out more.
