Zimbabwe's Art from Junk

Zimbabwe may be renowned for its stone sculptors, but a new school of art has emerged, art made from junk. In a BBC photo gallery of an exhibition on at the Harare National Gallery, you can see for yourself the sophisticated art being made, some of which combines Rastafarian and traditional spiritual ideas. Gallery Director Doreen Sibanda says it "shows how skills long used to make toys from old junk have now graduated into a fully fledged art form." Take a look...
