New Malaria Drugs Lose Potency

The fight against malaria has had a setback as resistance is developing to artemisinin drugs, reports the Guardian Unlimited. The drugs, made from plants growing in China, had been hailed as a life-saver and recommended for malaria treatment by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
